Questions

Boiler questions

What’s the difference between a combi, system and regular boiler?

A combi heats water on demand straight from the mains, so there’s no cylinder or tank. A system boiler heats a hot water cylinder but needs no loft tanks. A regular (heat-only or conventional) boiler works with a cylinder and header tanks in the loft.

Can I switch from a regular boiler to a combi?

Usually, yes. We can remove the cylinder and loft tanks and fit a combi, freeing up space. We’ll check your water pressure and hot water needs first to make sure a combi will suit you.

How long are the guarantees?

Depending on the model, 7 to 10 years as standard, extended to 8 or 11 years on selected Alpha combi boilers when fitted with a CYCLONE PLUS magnetic filter.
