Who we are
This website is run by My Warm Home (“we”, “us”), a central heating and boiler installation business covering the North East of England. We are responsible for the personal information described in this policy.
If you have any questions about this policy or your information, email info@mywarmhome.uk or call 07979 237200.
What we collect
When you send an enquiry through our website we collect:
- your name and email address;
- your phone number and postcode, if you choose to give them;
- the service you’re interested in and anything you write in your message.
If you phone or email us, we keep the details you give us so we can deal with your enquiry. If you become a customer we also keep the information needed to carry out and invoice the work, such as your address and the details of the job.
How we use it and why
- To answer your enquiry and give you a quote. You’ve asked us to, as a step before entering into a contract with you.
- To carry out work for you, arrange visits, and handle invoices and guarantees, as part of our contract with you.
- To register your boiler guarantee with the manufacturer, as part of our contract with you.
- To meet legal duties, such as keeping financial and gas safety records.
- To keep this website secure and protect it from spam and misuse, which is in our legitimate interests.
We don’t send marketing emails, we don’t sell your information and we don’t use it for automated decision-making.
Who we share it with
We only share your information when we need to:
- Cloudflare, which hosts this website and delivers enquiry form messages to us by email. Cloudflare may process data in the USA under recognised safeguards for international transfers.
- Our email provider, which stores the emails we send and receive.
- Boiler manufacturers, to register your guarantee.
- Finance providers, only if you ask about spreading the cost and choose to apply.
- Our accountants, and authorities where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
If you send an enquiry and don’t go ahead, we delete it within 12 months. If you become a customer, we keep job and invoice records for six years after the end of the financial year they relate to, as tax law requires, and gas safety records for as long as the regulations require.
Website data
Our hosting provider records basic technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested. This is used to deliver the site and keep it secure, and isn’t used to identify you. We don’t use analytics or advertising tracking. See our cookie policy for more.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the information we hold about you;
- ask us to correct anything that’s wrong or incomplete;
- ask us to delete your information, or to stop or limit using it;
- object to us using it on the basis of our legitimate interests;
- ask us to transfer information you’ve given us to another organisation.
To use any of these rights, contact us using the details above. We’ll reply within one month, free of charge.
If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
